Three things your guidance is trying to tell you

As I stated in my recent blog post, What it feels like to live intuitively, not all guidance is created equal.

We may receive different types of guidance at different points in our journeys, but we can also recognise three different types of guidance too. Knowing which type of guidance you’re receiving can help you know what to do with it.

What are the three types of guidance?

Over fifteen years teaching, mentoring and psychically reading for my clients and students (and myself!), I realised there are three different types of guidance we may receive. I call them Three Threads of Guidance.

I call them threads, as I actually clairvoyantly see them as such. They clairvoyantly appear to me like three divine threads, like pathways our soul is simultaneously walking.

One thread is our daily intuitive instructions. Another thread is a thread of Healing. And the third is the thread of overarching purpose or overarching direction.

As we begin to unravel one, the others begin to unravel too. Or, to say it another way, when we follow our guidance, it starts a healing journey, pointing us in the direction of our purpose.

Let’s explore the three types of guidance.

  1. Guidance type 1: Daily Intuitive Instructions

These are the pieces of guidance like small nudges, intuitive hits, or just a general push or pull in a particular direction. For example, that kind of intuition that says you need to drive a different way home, or that you need to check in on a friend, or that it is time to find a new hobby.

To notice these intuitive impressions, I recommend having a daily guidance practice. Setting up a regular guidance practice instils the observation of the signs and symbols, but also their interpretation and application.

  2. Guidance type 2: healing guidance

As you follow this thread, the guidance —and where it leads you—deepen. Sooner or later, the more you follow those daily intuitive instructions, the guidance will start to turn you inward. Your guidance wants you to move you through inner transformation, to clear, heal and restore, so you come back to your unique path and purpose.

This is the kind of guidance that is going to systematically move you through the internal transformation required. This shift in guidance becomes more obvious when you have a regular guidance practice. There's loads of different ways you can incorporate a daily practice into your routine—it’s not always about finding more time, but utilising your time and routine as it is to maximum effect.

In this phase, your guidance is likely to move you through what I call the Guidance Cycle. That is, you will be guided through a cycle of clearing, healing, restoring, and manifesting. When you pay attention, you’ll notice your guidance is actually constantly moving through that cycle in order for you to move through the healing that is required. It's also here that we start to really dive into the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. This is largely what we explore in Living Intuitively

  3. Guidance type 3: overarching purpose and direction

Think: big picture direction, or a sense of your purpose or calling. Often, this feels like a vague sense of big changes or what’s ahead for you.

“I know I’m here to help people,” you might say.

“I want to write books… if only I knew what I’d write about,” I caught myself saying before I ventured onto my true path and purpose!

Early on, the overarching purpose thread often just looks or feels like a direction, for example to help people, to be a healer, to support or guide. It generally begins as a rather large concept, rather than specific steps.

Over time, we start to receive more and more information in that thread. But here's the kicker, the purpose thread unravels because you've unravelled the healing thread, which unravels because you started with those daily intuitive instructions. Our purpose is revealed overtime, and usually after we integrate lessons and move through the inner transformation that the healing thread is trying to move us through.

What is your guidance telling you?

Which type of guidance do you think you’re receiving? It may become more apparent the more you commit to a regular guidance practice.
