How To Intuitively Navigate Change

Change must come from within

When we realise that we don't have what we want —for example when we're unhappy in our job or career, we're unhappy in our relationship, we're unhappy with whatever it is in our world— we change it by not forcing and pushing and manipulating the outer world., but by actually realigning our inner world first.

This is also true at a collective level. In recent times, as we seek to change injustice and inequality or climate change (or any other big topics), we actually need to go inward and start changing our systems and our structures and our beliefs that underpin said systems and the structures.

We can’t force change

Forcing change in our outer world (ie, jobs, relationships, systems etc) isn’t enough. We actually need to change the way we think, so we can change our behaviours. Behind that, I believe, is also our energy —so, we ultimately need to collective upgrade our energetic or vibrational set point. If you've engaged with me, my work or my books for some time, you’ll know the importance of all four of our bodies —physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual/energetic—and that change is needed across all four.

We often only think of change as a physical, tangible thing. Or, a change in our thinking happens at the mental level. But, we don’t necessarily consider the energetic shift that’s needed. And as our collective moves through such an energetic upgrade, we are indeed creating change on a bigger level.

Naturally, we want to take action in the outer world; we want to do something. I want to be really clear: external action is vitally important. But, it may not be step number one for everyone. It depends on our own energetic set point.

Four steps for aligned action

Real change comes from aligned action, first inward, then outward. Our external circumstances point us inward to identify what needs to change. When we reflect upon our inner state (and four bodies) and change these, drawing on our individual healing toolkits, we can then enact great change. Here, we see four individual steps to taking intuitive and aligned action towards change

  1. Identify

  2. Reflect

  3. Tools

  4. Act

If we allow it, the outer world is a mirror, showing us where we can change internally, or what I call the Mirror Technique. As we identify what the outer world is bringing up in us, we reflect inward, considering the tools or modalities we can use to change our energy, perspective, beliefs or behaviours. We can consider what are the physical, mental, emotional, or energetic tools, modalities, practices that can help us change. Then, we take action!

Know what you want —and trust it

Change is great —as long as you know what you really want, which is not as easy as it sounds. Sometimes it is enough to know that we simply no longer want what is currently here. And that's a really important starting point. At an individual level, we might just know, “Oh my gosh, being in this relationship no longer serves me.” “Being in this job is no longer good for my health. I don't know what is next, but I know this isn't it.

Knowing what you really want can often feel like you're being pulled in a particular direction, or like you’re reaching for feeling, desire or energetic state, even an emotional or physical or mental state beyond what you currently are experiencing.

But, we aren’t always so great at trusting those feelings or voicing our needs and desires. Much like our intuition. If we don’t trust it, we can’t receive it.

What you seek is also seeking you

If we change the thinking here, we may just start to trust our desires. What if what you want has come to you as an intuitive nudge, a vision, a deisre… because it is also seeking you?!

Maybe you want to change up your relationship —and a changed relationship is also seeking you.

Maybe you desire a new job —because a new job is seeking you.

Maybe you dream of change —because change is seeking you.

Our feelings are clues.

I clairvoyantly see this as a spectrum. If you are at one end of the spectrum, with your desire, we could imagine at the other end of the spectrum is you having/enjoying/experiencing that desire. Your intuition, your hunches, your feelings etc are not just these sort of whimsical daydreams of, “Oh, wouldn't it be nice.”

Your intuitive feelings are actually guidance telling you that life wants to serve this up for you. Yes, your desire, that thing or experience you really want has entered your awareness, because it is trying to make its way to you.

You don’t need to figure out how to make it happen—you change your vibration to match it. Your inner world, your vibrational state is a magnet, pulling your desire towards you.

Your job then becomes increasing that vibration to draw more of it to you. And so knowing what you want means that you can understand your choices, your decisions and your actions and know whether or not they are in alignment with where you're going or if they're keeping you where you've been.

And part of knowing that also comes back down to not only the Mirror Technique where we identify, reflect, turn to our toolkit and act.

Your desires, intuition, feelings, and dreams aren’t just fanciful daydreams. They are guiding you towards them, because they too are seeking you.

Change is inevitable

When we work the energies, change is inevitable. What you desire is also inevitably making its way to you… so, can you trust it is coming? Can you now live with such trust and conviction that what you truly want is not just possible, but that it is inevitable?

The change you seek is not just seeking you, but it is already here… or else, you wouldn’t be able to feel it. You are part of a feedback loop with life, and when you know with such a deep conviction and commitment to your choice/desire, you’ll also know:

  • All of life is guiding you;

  • Intuition is guiding you;

  • Spirit is guiding you; and

  • It’s all pointing you towards the life you seek.

To intuitively create change, we may need to first change our beliefs or our perspective. Imagine what might cahnge for you if you believed:

  • you are supported

  • you are loved

  • you live in a hospitable, abundant environment

  • all of life is working for you, not against you

Seeing things differently, seeing ourselves not as separate, but as part of the whole, we can individually work towards changing the whole.

All of the whole is moving through change. And so what may be challenging us, what may be confronting to us, what may be being rewired or re upgraded, reworked in our system is not happening because you got it wrong or you were broken or you needed fixing.

Yes, this kind of change can be uncomfortable —but, if you see the discomfort as working for you, that this change is happening for you —for your growth and the growth of everyone else— and you trust this believe and live it with commitment and conviction, then you activate a “magnet”, drawing to you along that spectrum the very thing you desire, that you seek to change… and that is also seeking you.
